I am about to sign up at a PADI certified diving place, to learn to scuba dive. I am 14 years old and I need to know that I can become completely open water certified. I would also appreciate anyone that could give me a few websites that I can buy gear from. I would like to purchase all of my own gear, wetsuit, tank, bc, regulators, mask, snorkel, everything. I live in Ohio near Lake Erie and have gone to lake Huron to visit family. I believe both are classified as temperate waters. Any tips possible would be greatly appreciated.

My husband is a fish out of water - scuba diving, snorkelling, etc. I love the mountains - peaceful, cool, quiet. I want to go on a second Honeymoon, but I don’t want to drag him someplace or be dragged. Is there a cruise that would visit both mountains and reefs? Where should we go?

I want to get my husband a Suunto watch for Christmas. He had a Suunto Observer which he loved because of the barometric pressure thing on there. But his is old and I would like to get him a new one. I just don’t know what is the “new it” watch to have from Suunto that has the Barometric pressure on it. He is always outdoors with his job in the woods…and likes to fish so it needs to be waterproof…so he needs one for those purposes. Can someone please tell me what watch you recommend?

Learning to scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef, Australia, back in the year 2000. We had a 1 week training course including 9 dives on a liveaboard which moved between different reefs. Video includes parts of the PADI open water certification including navigation, removing mask. Lots of fish, turtles, corals and other amazing underwater life. Fran is wearing pink fins, and Neil has odd blue and green fins.

The last two minutes show some library footage from Cairns Dive Centre.
