Suunto Core review
A review and tour of the Suunto Core outdoor watch.
Suunto has an interactive demo of this watch on their site, in which you’ll be able to see the screen better: http://www.suunto.com/interactive/Core/.
Also, I posted a more in-depth review of this watch, comparing it to the Casio Pathfinder. You can find that here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLMO-9DCM8k

Suunto Core vs Casio Pathfinder Part 3
Here’s my wrap up on these watches. Instead of trying to prove which of these watches is “best” my goals was to show how their features differ. I compared the Casio to a Toyota truck. It does what it does well, in a no-frills kind of way. The Suunto I compared to an Audi. It has more features, is more technically advanced, and also has a couple of minor quirks (screen difficult to read, watch band color).
In terms of the way they record altitude, think of the Casio as a camera. It records single “snapshots” of your altitude at any given time, or it can record a series of “snapshots.” Think of the Suunto as a video camera. It records altitude continuously and does so at a recording speed that you can adjust.
Personally, I wear the Casio more just because it’s easy to read; I like the way it looks; and it usually goes with what I’m wearing. That’s just me though. I hope these videos have helped you pick out the watch that’s right for you.
