How do I stop the phantom spam mails for junk stocks that roll into my computer 10 times a day?
smbarz80 asked:
Does anyone else get the junk mail for stocks that take a dive a week after the emails start? I get these mails and then track the stocks that they are pushing and every stock just dies after about a week. Good thing I don’t buy any. I get these mails from random email addresses and then try to mail back saying to remove me from the list and the email address is already gone. WTF? I get about ten of these mails each day. Short of changing my emial address, how do I stop them? I can’t change my email because it is my work email and I have no idea how this mail got out into the world network. It is getting old.

You’ll have to ask your mail admin to change your address. There’s no way around it. Once the spammers lock on to a name, the spam will get worse and worse.
Or you might talk to your admin about installing some effective spam screening software. I’m sure you’re not the only one affected at the company.
BTW: If you used your work e-mail to buy anything on eBay, that’s where they got the address from. eBay sells its members’ e-mail addresses on a regular basis.
It’s SPAM and a SCAM. It’s a bad idea to respond or even open them. It will just bring in more of the same and possibly, a virus.
Turn on your “Spam Blocker” and your “Block Addresses”..
1. Click on “Options” in the upper right of your yahoo inbox.
2. Click on “Spam Protection” and follow instructions.
3. Click on “Block Addresses” and follow instructions.
For those that are in your inbox now, put a checkmark by them, scroll to the top of the page and click on “SPAM”. These items should then go to your bulk folder where you can delete them all at once. Just click on “Empty” next to your bulk folder.
