Which Suunto Watch should I get?

suunto
Love is in the air. . . asked:

I want to get my husband a Suunto watch for Christmas. He had a Suunto Observer which he loved because of the barometric pressure thing on there. But his is old and I would like to get him a new one. I just don’t know what is the “new it” watch to have from Suunto that has the Barometric pressure on it. He is always outdoors with his job in the woods…so he needs one for those purposes. Can someone please tell me what watch you recommend?

I’m thinking of getting a Suunto wristop, possibly the S6.
I know my local Paddy Pallins sells them, but does anyone know where you can get the battery replacement kits from? A search on Googe hasn’t revealed that much

How do I sleep early so that I can wake up early for a scuba dive?

scuba
sinisterorio asked:

I’ve been going to sleep around 1-3 each night for almost 2 to 3 years and waking up at about 11-12 the next day, and whenever I have classes and have to wake up earlier (about 8ish maybe) I would get kind of sick.. I would loose my appitite and get bad stomach aches, the other problem I have is because im so used to goin to sleep so late, if I tried to sleep early at maybe 10-12 I would start tossing and turning and no matter what iv tried I just can’t fall asleep till almost 1-2, plus because I try to force myself to sleep, I wake up multiple times at night which makes my early morning even worse then usual

the main problem is im getting certified for scuba and I have a dive that I need to wake up at 5 in the morning to be able to get to the boat, and im afriad the sick thing I get in the mornings will prevent me from being able to dive so should I try a sleeping pill or any tips on being able to sleep earlier and acually fall asleep? (need a quick fix since dive is in 1 - 2 weeks

what are other alternatives to a suunto watch?

Can a recreation scuba diver purchase a portable scuba dive compressor in Australia?

scuba
goldsallan asked:

I am in the market for a 3.5 cu. psi portable scuba dive compressor, but to date, I have not been able to locate a distrbutor in Australia who can satisfy this request.

Currently, I do have a 3.5cu. psi portable Bristol dive compressor which is approximately 25yrs old, but as I do not have access in Australia to spare parts, filters, oils and charcoal, I am reluctant in using this compressor without it first being completely rebuild.

This is the reason for updating to a new model so that I am able to have access to the necesary service components that are needed and required for the compressor to deliver clean air at all times.

I am flying to beqa lagoon for a dive trip, what should I bring beyond all my scuba gear of course?
